Im not really seeing where the age discrimination really comes into play here. But I can say this, if there supervisor feels that the employee can not do his/her job due to medical reasons, they can let them go. However, that's where unemployment and disability benefits come into play. So you have to think outside the box on this issue. Either keep an unhealthy employee and risk a hazard in the work place or let them go to get healthy again and bring them back when he/she can preform the job again.
