Who still remember that it was Republic Day yesterday in South Africa?

I honestly don't know why they took it away, but however I did remember it. That was the day that we always had an braai day at school & you had to bring a piece of boerewors & a hot-dog roll to school & your teacher braaied it for you. That was the one day the whole school felt like one. We played games & had fun but we also sang the landslied as one! Will never ever forget it! Pity our children will never ever experience this.
