Do you avoid answering questions written in "text messaging" lingo?
The example you use is not just text lingo; it's also full of misspellings and usage errors. I don't think that these are deliberate. As a former English teacher, I can tell you that student writing is being impacted by this shorthand. The attitude these days among some teens is that if you can be understood, that's good enough. Many are resisting the idea that standard language is necessary for effective communication. It will be interesting in the future to see how colleges handle application essays that contain bits of texting shorthand.
