What is the purpose of the weghted heel in clark shoes?

I am in desperate need of a pair of shoes and I like the style of the one Clark shoe style called the bendables but my concern is the weighted heel on them as many of their shoes seem to be. What is the purpose of the weighted heels in their shoes. I would like to get info on them. My foot is long vamped but I don't want to do harm to my foot if wearing a heavy weighted heel would cause ankle or foot problems.
