How is the nicolas cage situation:the movies just keep flying out like johnny depp,so he still can't be broke?

I seen that even though a movie may gross,say,30 million:one actor like say Will Smith makes about 80 million...I don't know how it's done...But were talking Nicolas cage! Somebody please enlighten me.
